ABOUT BILL DOULT

Bill Doult has practised as a hypnotherapist for more than 20 years, helping people with many different types of personal problems and distressing conditions.

He trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) gaining an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

The LCCH is accredited by the British Accreditation Council, the Open University, Greenwich University and the Royal College of Nursing.

Bill Doult has extensive experience of providing therapy to help clients overcome difficult, sometimes unusual personal problems which include emotional or psychological issues and unwanted habits.

His specialist expertise is helping people with stress-related conditions – including irritable bowel syndrome and asthma.

A Full Member of both the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the British Association of Medical Hypnosis, Bill is also Membership Secretary of the Medical School Hypnosis Association which coordinates research projects and promotes the use of clinical hypnosis in the medical setting.

He also established the James Braid Society – a professional forum for hypnotherapists – and was its Secretary for ten years.

In addition he is a member of the Register of Approved Gastro-Intestinal Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists and the UK Register of IBS Therapists.

Founding Editor of the European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, Bill Doult has long been concerned with promoting greater research into the clinical applications of hypnosis and has organised a research study examining hypnotherapy as a resource for asthma and emphysema patients.
